Business and Community Foundation

The BCF is a not-for-profit business coalition, established in New Delhi by Indian and International companies, in association with the Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum (PWBLF), UK. The BCF member companies strongly believe that the business can be a powerful and positive force for change in todays society. With emphasis on Corporate involvement in India's social development, the Forum is operational in India since 1991 but it came into existence in the form of the BCF in 1998.

Being a member service organisation, the BCF works in close cooperation with its member companies, provides them professional inputs to formulate and translate (into action) their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies and also facilitates their working in partnership (with the State and Civil Society Organisations) that benefit the business as well as marginalised and disadvantaged communities.

BCF's other initiatives include Corporate Partnerships, advocacy and capacity building. There are strategic mix of studies, workshops, seminars, training programmes, lectures, consultations, insight visits, fellowships for Corporate Partnerships etc.

BCF has worked with many corporate organisations over the last couple of years, though the member companies are on the governing board, the others are treated as corporate clients. The list of members and clients includes ABB Ltd, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Cadbury India Ltd, Coca Cola India Ltd, IKEA Trading (India) Ltd, International Distellers India Ltd (UDV), Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Ltd (KCI), National Foundation for India (NFI), Sedgwick Parekh Health Management Pvt. Ltd, British Gas India Pvt. Ltd, Smithkline Beecham Consumer Healthcare Ltd, Nokia, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC).
